Seed Sowers Gospel-Planting Adventures Review and Giveaway

Seed Sowers Gospel Planting Adventures Gwen Toliver I am so excited to tell you about this book.  I told you the other day about running into the Tolivers after not having seen them since college.  Gwen was in the midst of all the finishing touches of her book Seed Sowers Gospel-Planting Adventures.

Gwen and her husband John work with Wycliffe Associates and are currently serving at the Linguistics Center in Dallas, Texas.  Wycliffe Associates is a ministry committed to serving Bible translation organizations in support roles.  Through her ministry Gwen began interviewing missionaries.  Her book is a compilation of the amazing missionary stories that she heard first hand–God’s stories as she was often told.

I really enjoy people stories of all kinds, but missionary stories of how God has worked miraculously in and through people  have to be my favorite.  I found myself riveted to the pages with each story.  These missionaries all worked in Bible translation to get the gospel to unreached people groups.  Trekking through snake infested jungles, trips in crocodile infested waters, hunted by wild cats, making contact with cannibalistic tribes–are just some of what these missionaries went through for the sake of the Gospel!

Included in the book is the never before published story of Don Johnson one of the Papua New Guinea missionaries who was in the search party that found the bodies of the martyred missionaries Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, Roger Youderian, Ed McCully, and Pete Fleming.

Even though Seed Sowers: Gospel-Planting Adventures has been a major part of her life for the past two years, Gwen Toliver considers serving her family her primary occupation. Along with her husband, John, and their crew of eight children, Gwen has been serving with Wycliffe Associates since 2010. Gwen writes about family and ministry at ToliversToTexas.com.

Seed Sowers is available for purchase on Amazon for $12.55.  Right now the Kindle version is $3.99!  This is a wonderful read for yourself or as a Christmas gift.  I want to read it aloud with my family!  Gwen has graciously offered to give a copy of the book to one of my readers!  Please enter below through the Rafflecopter.  When the giveaway closes I will email the winner, who will have 24 hours to send me a name and address.  (Winner must have fulfilled the requirement for the entry! Entries are verified.)  Will ship to U.S. address only.

Forgot to answer the question: My grandmother used to be a missionary in Central America. She gave us wonderful stories and lessons from her missions she ventured on.
