Thank you Molly Maid for sponsoring this post. Take care of yourself and your home with great tips from Molly Maid and the Cleaning Tips Institute! #MollyMaidTips
I’ve told you before about my life as a cleaning woman. Boy we had fun cleaning people’s houses. Cleaning my own house though? Not so fun these days. I would love to have a maid service come to my house! Let’s see birthday, Christmas, Valentine’s Day–they are all gone. My anniversary is coming up this summer though. It’ll be fifteen years. This would be a wonderful gift. Honey, I hope you’re reading!
Molly Maid is making life simpler with their Molly Institute house cleaning tips. My favorite is the Jurassic Furniture: How to Get Rid of Carpet Footprints video. You know the marks your heavy couches leave on the carpet? I never knew there was a way to get them off! Every time my husband helps me vacuum, I run around like a crazy woman making sure each couch leg lands perfectly on the previous mark! I’m so excited to learn this:
I also liked the Shower Curtain Hurtin’ video on how to clean your shower curtain in the washing machine. The Coffee Talk–How to remove coffee pot stains tip surprised me! Check out these and other great tips at Molly Maid!

The tip about the rug imprints is interesting. Wonder why ice helps.
I use safe household items for cleaning. Dish detergent in hot water and newspapers cleans glass. Baking soda is an excellent scrub in areas such as sinks and tubs. I would love to have a maid!
Oh well you “know” I “need” this! My only cleaning tip is do something everyday even something little!
Swiffer Dusters 🙂 I also tweeted about it–@sfudz

When I clean a baseball cap, I wash it in a gentle cycle in the washing machine. To dry, I inflate a balloon inside it. The balloon keeps wrinkles and creases from forming. Thanks for the give-away, Esther!
My cleaning tip:
Before exiting the shower, use a squeegee or a shamwow towel to remove the water and soap scum left on the shower walls/doors. This not only keeps your shower spotless, but it helps to eliminate hard water stains and reduce mildew in the shower. It’s also easier/quicker than trying to clean the shower later, and saves on cleaning products!
How fun! I love cleaning tips, especially if they make my job easier and quicker.
