I told the girls to get ready for a quick run to the store. Faith said, “No Karate kicks Mom. It’s embarrassing that I have such a crazy mom!” Oh how that made me laugh. I guess I’m going to have to contain myself better in public. I actually was doing my version of Karate kicks when we ran into someone Jason works with at a store one time. Oops! I think that was one time he was embarrassed to have such a crazy wife. Oh well. Had I known the man was there I would have tried my best to appear dignified. Life’s too short to worry what people think…in public…when I think I don’t know anyone!

Hey, at least you’re having fun!
Funny, we all seem crazy at times:)
You come by that stuff honestly–from your dad. Some time you can tell us about the time you and he were crossing the street–or better let one of your siblings whom you embarrassed tell about it. Faith probably takes after her grandmother who always got to be embarrassed by the rest of you, but would not trade you for the world!
haha…Life is to short to worry about that stuff!!
Beat to your own drum and the world will follow 🙂
Have a great day!!

We have to be a little crazy when we have kids…because they’re crazy too!:) Have a great day!
I love(d) being a crazy mom too! My favorite “trick” was to wear my shorts overalls and red cowboy boots when driving the girls to school in the morning. They were in middle school at the time. 🙂 They were so afraid I would actually get out of the car and people would see me.
LOL you crack me up. I love doing crazy stuff with my kids too like dancing in the car and they’re laughing and hoping their friends don’t see me waving my arms about.
I’m more extroverted like you and am definitely more free in expressing myself when I don’t know the people around me and even when I do (like everything, it can be a strength and a weakness)…however, I have come to know and truly believe that it is those times when we are around people we know and fear (fear their disapproval) that we tend to behave in ways that are not consistent with who we really are. Seeking approval, we conform. Conforming can steal your joy 🙁
Why be normal? I was just telling someone again today that the world is severely lacking in humour and its share craziness just for the sake of it…
I think it’s great that you aren’t scared to be yourself!

That was hilarious! Thanks.
You inspire me to lighten up a little, seriously I get so uptight sometimes… I act like I’m 60 instead of almost 40… I need to let a little “Esther” out in me 🙂 I’m going to have to practice my karate kicks! Thanks for just being you and faithfully sharing “you” with us!
Acting goofy in public just proves you are a happy camper. Nothing wrong with that what-so-evah!
Poor Faith I fear would find me absolutely mortifying. I have this dream of living in a musical so every once in a while I will just break out in song Mama Mia style. I DO NOT have a wonderful singing voice, its not horrible but Simon and Paula are not going to come banging on my door any time soon. Anyway my oldest niece thinks I am just the worst…LOL I am very lucky she loves me so much!
I little “crazy” breaks the day up in a special way!

Found you at BlogFrog! You’re my kinda girl! If I’d have been there with you, we could have got all Matrix and really embarrased the kids!
That’s so cute! I bet the kids love having a crazy mom, and I know they’ll love looking back on their FUN childhood! They’ll love telling all these crazy stories about you while all most of their friends just have “boring” mom stories.
I bet Jason loves your craziness even more than the kids do!
We all need to laugh more … even if it is at a crazy lady doing karate kicks in public. You go Esther!
HAHAHAH. That is awesome!
I’m thinking the natural progression is that you post a VIDEO of you doing your karate kicks in public! I seriously laughed out loud when I read that your husband’s coworker saw you!
