Our Weekend Getaway Part 1
My sister Miriam angelically volunteered to bring her son to my house and take care of my kids for the weekend so that Jason and I could get away.
We decided to go to Dallas. We didn’t want to spend the whole weekend driving, and there is plenty to see and do in the area. The one main event that we agreed on was a rodeo. Jason said that he would call and get tickets. When to go came up several times, and every time I reminded him of all the reasons why we needed the Saturday night tickets. The next evening he proudly proclaimed that we now had tickets to the rodeo. I was so excited. I began printing off maps and information about the various places we planned to go. “Wait a second,” he said as he was looking through our Friday night maps. “We’re going to the rodeo Friday night.”
“No, we’re going Saturday night.” I looked at him confused.
“Uh, I got the Friday night tickets.”
“What? Are you serious? Don’t you remember all the conversations we had about getting them for Saturday?” I ranted and raved for a full two minutes–poor guy.
“Yes, but for some reason when I ordered them, I thought it was Friday.” Then I laughed and laughed! I tried to make up for my ranting by saying that I knew he didn’t do it on purpose and that maybe for some unknown reason it would be better for us to be there Friday. He said that he would try to call the next day and have the tickets changed to Saturday. I recounted some of the other things that have happened this summer. He is on a roll in sabotaging my plans! But, in the end we were allowed to change the tickets, and all worked out well!

Lol, oops. I have those brain freezes all the time…so does my husband come to think of it!
gotta love men! if it doesnt have a motor or if its not the food in front of them, the details go out the window! 😉
My husbo fails to hear the whole conversation with me too. Drives me nuts! lol
glad you got the tickets changed = have fun.
If you want a man to remember something that has nothing to do with tools, TV or food you should write it down preferably on a tool, TV screen or a dinner plate!
:))
YOU ARE NOT ALONE;)))))
Life happens, doesn’t it? 🙂 Glad everything worked out for you. For once, I’m here and Faith wasn’t the one who compelled me. I’m shocked! *smile*
