Last week I told you about the fun crafts going on at select GapKids stores across the country. Saturday we loaded up the family and headed to The Dallas Galleria. My kids were so excited to get to do some painting!
I have to tell you, I was very impressed! We saw the table with the art supplies and kids busy creating when we first walked in. As soon as we headed that direction the friendly instructors helped my four children individually to select their four paint colors and guided them to a table. The instructors gave each of them their own canvas board and helped them place tape on their boards to create different geometric shapes.
I loved how even though they began tentatively painting, by the end they were using their imagination to create new colors and were experimenting with brush strokes and just having a blast!
When they finished painting they were instructed to wait until the paint was dry and then to gently peel the tape off. They were so proud of their creations and walked carefully back to the van so as not so smear any paint.
By the time we got home they were dry. They were so excited to peel the tape off and ooed and ahed at their masterpieces! They are all so proud of their art. Aren’t the beautiful? This was so much fun!
Did you miss the Dallas Galleria event? Don’t worry. There are two more events being held in the Dallas area.

Okay, I’ll admit, I thought this would be boring–but loved the pictures and was impressed with the whole thing. If I had kids where that was available, I’d deflnitely take them!
I didn’t know this about the Gap. This is great. Your kids looked like they were having such fun.
