Last month we took a morning to learn about and pack shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Did you see our video? The kids have been anticipating the day to take our shoe boxes to the drop off site.
We were the first ones to show up at the closest drop off site near our house ! Actually we were the first, first, because we had actually showed up two hours earlier and they weren’t open yet. So you might want to call your drop off location for their hours before you head over. I’m sure unlike me, you would have thought of that! 🙂
We had so much fun! The staff was great with the kids, explaining again to them what would be happening with the shoe boxes. They prayed with us for the recipients of our boxes and then gave all the kids stickers. They were so excited to wear them!
Don’t forget to build a box! Check here for the location of a drop off site near you. OCC’s National Collection Week is now Nov. 12-19, 2012.
