When I was little I didn’t like milk. I’m not sure when I rejected milk because of course that’s how babies grow, but I don’t remember drinking it voluntarily except with an cookie!
We lived on a few acres of land, and I spent my time chasing my many cats or singing at the top of my lungs from my swing. I could be heard singing the OREO jingle as I played, “Oh, Oh, Oh Bright ideas and an OREO Cookie. It’s a bright idea to dunk it or to crunch it or unscrew it or to lick it or to trick it, but no matter what’cha do it’s true, it’s fun to munch a creamy, crunchy chocolate O-R-E-O; goes great with imagination, puts the YUM in your creation.”
When eating an OREO cookie I wanted a glass of milk just like the kid in the commercial. It was fun to try various ways of eating an OREO like dunking it or eating the cookie and middle separately. I could never decide which way I like it best, whole or taken apart. In fact, I still can’t decide, but to this day just about the only way I’ll drink a glass of milk is with an OREO cookie!
