Motivation to Exercise

The best laugh I got over the Christmas weekend was over the pictures we took.  I laughed so hard I cried.  They say a picture doesn’t lie.  I hope they’re wrong.  Although I do have some weight to lose after having a baby, I promise you I don’t look like this:

My husband’s face when he saw this picture was hilarious too!  He assured me that I don’t look like that.  Still, it does have me a bit paranoid.  I usually begin exercising when my babies are six weeks, but I’m thinking maybe I can begin making changes in my diet now…

P.S.  I’ll try to share some of the better pictures soon.  Until then feel free to laugh with me!  🙂

Esther

You know it takes time. I wouldn’t dare show the post pregnancy pics of me! I remember my husband saying when the nurse came in to check me after I’d just delivered the twins, “What’s wrong with your stomach? Is it always going to look like that?!?” That comment pretty much makes the top of the list of things a husband shouldn’t say to his wife 6 hours after delivering twins….

I think if Jason told you that you don’t really look like that, I’d believe him. I have a feeling he wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t true.
However, by saying that, I’m not agreeing that you look chubby in that picture. On the contrary. I think you look fantastic! I wish I looked like that.

Ha! I had a similar picture last summer that motivated me to start boot camp. Not army, just intense arobics three mornings a week. Not sure if it’s made a difference, but at least I’m doing something, right?

What a beautiful picture — of a beautiful family!

(And I can tell that you dressed the kids, Esther, because there’s not a Halloween shirt in sight!!! LOL)

I think lots of moms have awful postpartum pictures. I have one where I look like a Breaking Dawn wannabe, plus (how embarrassing!) I was leaking…

But you look great Esther, really!

Awwww! I think we all have at least one picture of ourselves a couple weeks postpartum that gives us that moment. 🙂 But you are still beautiful!

i think its a lovely picture, of a mommy and her sweet kiddos! 🙂 you gotta remember to take time for yourself as a (new again) mom, and if you feel like channeling it into exercise, then enjoy it. i think you look fantastic, by the way!

You’re a beauty, extra weight or not. Believe me bad angles can make you feel so ugly. You look amazing, I can’t believe you have all those little ones. God bless you!
Post pregnancy, I thought I looked pretty good and then saw the after pictures. Whoa…I think I was just so happy to have that huge stomach gone!

You look beautiful! And you’ve had five kids…I feel like you’ve earned the right to eat whatever you want, whenever you want and you can lose the weight later :).

As someone who struggled with infertility — whenever you have those feelings about your looks just thank God for your little blessing. Be confident that you will be back to pre baby weight soon. Don’t let anything steal your joy.

I have had those same feelings… but after I gave birth to baby #8 I decided to ease up on myself a bit. I have come to enjoy being a little softer than I used to be! :o) I think you look beautiful, and your family is precious.

Give yourself a break, girl! You just had a baby! LOL (I have to say, I didn’t even notice your weight until you mentioned it, because you looked so pretty, as always, and I guess I was looking at your face.)

I didn’t even pay attention to the “weight” thing even though you had mentioned it. Funny how we notice things others don’t pay attention to.
