With four children it is pretty rare to get to spend time with just one child. Faith’s AWANA Truth and Training class put on some very wonderful events. This picture was taken at the Mother/Daughter Tea. It is such a special time! I love that a photographer takes pictures every year! As I am usually the one with camera in hand, I don’t have very many of me with the kids, especially not one on one. I will always cherish this!

What a great picture!
What a beautiful picture! Mother/child one on one time is definitely something to be cherished.
Adorable picture! She looks a lot like you too!
Wow, that’s beautiful. Special time… Enjoy them, sow into them while the kids are young…
What a wondeful photo 🙂 I too am often behind the camera instead of in front of it!
Very cute picture! My kids and I miss AWANA. Our church stopped the program a year ago because some of the leaders thought it was too much work.
Beautiful photo!! And great way to spend time with your child..I have four also and I rotate “special time.” I take them one at a time to the store with me and treat that child to something..I learned it’s not the amount spent, but the time with the child alone is really what he/she wants. This is also a great way to talk about a subject that you may need to address with a particular child and the child accepts the information better..nice blog look forward in reading more and responding to you on my blog at http://mentorjames.blogspot.com/
@ Brenda…I think I might understand where your leaders are coming from…Awana, just like all parachurch ministries can have positives and negatives. One of the negatives being that it can put alot of pressure on young families. For example, when we homeschooled Awana worked great for us because we had extra time to do the work and weekly meetings, events, etc… but when we switched to public school, we found it difficult to balance and had to back out and use other resources to teach our kids. May I suggest to you that those events aren’t exclusive to Awana clubs, and you and the ladies at your church might find it enjoyable to host an annual mother/daughter tea?
Love this pic!
