Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas

Our Houston Vacation Part 10

Start at the beginning.

Moody Gardens really is a fun place.  We started out in the Rainforest where you can walk through a path with lots of animals and birds out in the open.  We even experienced extra excitement with some not so happy monkeys running all around us and the staff frantically trying to keep them away from us and us away from them, lest they bite us–yikes!  The kids, quite unharmed, thought it was awesome!

We were all looking forward to the Dora 4D movie.  I just love these and so did the kids.

With our yearly passes we could go to any and all of the 3D movies on the huge screen.  Most of them were on the educational side so this gave most of us the chance to get a nap in!  There was a bones hands-on exhibit for the kids.  Compared to all they had seen and done at the Children’s museum, Jason and I thought it was a little lame, but the kids seemed to love every minute of it anyway.

Faith said her favorite thing at Moody Gardens was the dinosaur exhibit.  This was under a tent outside and had huge robotic dinosaurs.  Jason thought this was pretty cool too.  I just thought it was hot!

Continue to part 11.

You call this a holiday? I would need a holiday after a holiday like this with all of the places you’ve been to see! Give me a beach and little else any day!
