Mommy and Me at the Library

Look who had a birthday!  It’s Dr. Suess!  As I was planning what to do for my Mommy and Me date with Grace, I saw that the public library was having a Dr. Suess festival in honor of his birthday.  I thought it was the perfect place so spend some time with my girl.

We enjoyed cake over readings from the Dr. Suess books.

We took silly pictures together!

We feasted on truffula trees!

We met the Cat in the Hat!

She also got her face painted and planted wild flowers in a little planter to bring home.  It wasn’t her birthday, but she felt duly celebrated.  I had so much fun with her too.  The entire time I thought about how she acted like a little lady when not competing with her sisters.  I am so thankful for these bits of time that I am able to steal away and enjoy my children one at a time!

I’m linked with Time Warp Wife.

That looks fun! Reminds me of the time I took my 2 oldest to the Dr. Seuss exhibit at the Manhattan Chidren’s Museum. I think I had as much fun as they did.

Currently, my younger set are having fun with “Fox in Socks.” Maybe I’ll make a Dr.Seuss themed learning center for them.

We’re about to make some Dr. Seuss hats for our YouTube channel. My kids have always loved Ds. Seuss and all of his crazy contraptions.
