Mom is here, yet you don’t see her! At least that so many times that’s the story of moms lives from photos. In our home anyway, Mom is the picture taker, forever capturing our memories on camera. You all have told me so many times that I need to get in the photos. How many holidays and family outings have I shared that don’t include me in the photos? Countless!
Sometimes I don’t even realize until after a full day of vacation or a holiday is over that not even one photo with me in the picture was taken. How much more am I missing being included in the memories we create every day! Other times I feel…funny asking, “Please get a photo with me in it too!” So I just don’t do it. Ten, twenty years from now the kids are going to look back at family photos and wonder where I was. I am here! Mom is here! I’m stepping out and asking to be in the photos.

Here is my photo that I entered! So many happy memories in the back yard chasing and playing with our puppy!

In our family I’m in all the pictures and it is hard to find a picture of my husband. Of course that is because he is the photographer. He and all my 4 kinds are good photographers and I am a failure. I suppose I could learn, but with all the good photographers in the family it never seemed necessary. I keep in my telephone for the amusement of my kids and grandkids a picture I took of a parade–I thought. Actually, you have to look hard to find the parade. In the foreground is only a large woman’s behind. So we have lots of pictures of me and few of my husband. That is a good idea to get in the picture sometimes.
Preaching to the choir here. Went Saturday to take photos at a local spot I love. I got all dressed up and not one pic taken of me..not one.. but I got lots of my adorable grandson!!!
I’m always the picture taker. I always try to take selfies of my son and I! I do wish I could get my mom in more pictures. She always refuses bc she isn’t confident in her looks, which she is beautiful.my father is no longer with us and I don’t have many pictures due to a house fire. So I like to have alot of pictures bc a memory is all u will have one day!
