What is more fun than an evening at Medieval Times? Well, an evening at Medieval Times with friends of course! Our crew was ecstatic to be headed back to the Castle to see the show this time, after spending two days at the Castle during the filming of the 2014 Medieval Times commercial last February.
The boys had a blast exploring the castle and meeting a Falconer!
The girls dreamed of all things royal. Our friends came dressed up. I had never thought about having the kids dress up for a show before. It is encouraged, and the girls received extra attention for being in costume. Definitely think about it the next time you take your kids to the Castle!
Getting into the spirit of the fight was not a problem for these little boys! The souvenirs were super cool! For the best seats get to the Castle an hour and a half before your show is scheduled to begin as seats are assigned on a first come first served basis. However an hour and a half to wait before the show can be a little long for young children so come prepared!
And then we were seated for the show to begin. You could feel the excitement in the room!
The animals, trainers, and actors all do a wonderful job of entertaining Medieval Times style.
It was so fun to watch the show after having had a behind the scenes view and tour of the show last year. I got to meet and hang with Sonny Franks last year on the tour so it was extra fun to see him in his role as Lord Chancellor.
The tournament was also so fun to watch after having met the knights last year. All the good camaraderie that the knights share is so evident. They are having a blast out there. I cheered like a crazy woman, because the inside scoop is that it DOES make a difference as to which Knight wins at least when it comes down to the last three or so! But at the last moment our knight still lost. Aw. ๐ We’ll just have to go again to cheer the tournament on. We’re already looking forward to next time!
