My sweet girl Joy loves to cook. She has been making different things for us to enjoy, so I thought it was time to step things up and have her prepare an entire meal. Now getting several things all ready at once can be challenging so I thought it would be fun to get her started with some short cuts. And what better way to shop than to be earning money for our school at the same time. We went on a hunt for General Mills® Box Tops for Education™ products at Walmart. Ready. Set. Go!
Joy started by choosing a main dish. Oh all the choices! You would be surprised how long it took to pick just one. Ahem!
Did you know that Box Tops are worth $0.10 for your child’s school? And right now if you look for specially marked boxes you will find up to 5 bonus Box Tops! That’s $0.50 for your school just for buying things you may normally be purchasing anyway. I love that!
Next Joy found a Suddenly Pasta Salad for a side and Crescent rolls. Even the Crescent Roll package came with a bonus 4 Box Tops! Schools can use Box Tops cash to buy whatever they need. Box Tops for Education has contributed over $525 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996. Even the homeschool communities that we attend collect Box Tops for needed items!
And a meal isn’t a meal without dessert right? Chocolate Chip cookies are one of my favorite things on the planet. I may or may not have influenced her decision on this one. Ha!
And we’re done! Joy is so excited. I know she will do a great job of preparing this meal for our family! I will be sharing her cooking adventures soon.
