Yes, it’s true. I’m just now getting around to telling you about our New Year’s Party. Oh come on! It’s only April and I did celebrate Bobby’s birthday…four months late, so really this is early right? We love fondue! All kinds of fondue, whether we are eating out or making it at home fondue just screams celebration!
I’ve been experimenting more and more with my fondue. This year I made a Kahlua Caramel Fondue and my family said it was my best one yet!
Ingredients
12 oz (2 cups) of your favorite chocolate chips
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 mini bottle of Kahlua or about 1/3 of a cup
1/3 cup caramel or about 12 Kraft caramels
I only have one fondue pot. Our family is big enough and we use it often enough, that I would love to invest in a second pot, but right now I only have one. There fore I make my chocolate fondue in a small slow cooker. Add all the ingredients and cook on low about 2 hours or until the chocolate and caramel is melted and the fondue is hot. That’s it! Yum! It is so unbelievably easy!
Our hands down much have dippers are strawberries, apples, bananas, and pound cake. Did you catch the homemade pound cake recipe we made this year? Rice Krispi treats are also right up there!
How often do you fondue? Is it often enough? 🙂
