I dyed my hair. I resisted doing it myself for years, but my mom convinced me to give it a try, and I’m so glad she did. It saves so much time and money!
Over lunch together the girls were talking about how they would like to dye their hair. They have all kinds of ideas for cool and crazy hair. I don’t know if they will do anything about it, but they had fun talking possibilities.
Bobby, my six year old, had been quiet the entire time, but I guess he was thinking about the conversion as he piped up with: “I want to dye my hair black!” (Pause) “Then I’m gonna dye my skin green!” (Long Pause) “Then I’m gonna break my pants!”
We all looked up in horror. The words just hung in the air.
“Then I’ll look like the Hulk!”
Ha ha! There was this audible exhale all around the table, and everyone burst out laughing. In context, “I’m gonna break my pants,” made complete sense.
Wow my kids are growing up so fast. Bobby is my youngest and pretty soon I’m not going to have so many funny little kid quotes to remember. I’ve instructed myself not to miss any!
