One of the things I love about homeschooling is getting to send them to school once a week. Ha! I really do look forward to their one day a week “school.” This is our (gasp) seventh year to have our kids attend. I love that they get to be a part of classes like music, art, and PE.
Faith, on the far right, was excited to have a speaking part this year. She is very dramatic and loves to be a part of things though people usually guess the opposite since she is very quiet.
Joy talked a lot about getting to play the instruments. She loved this!
Having had the kid in the program that stole the show before, I was a little nervous. Little Jason could very easily be that kid. He is the shepherd holding the staff. His teacher said he took his job of holding the staff very seriously and did a great job of holding still in practice. Yea! This must not be the teacher’s first kids’ program because she didn’t leave the little kids on stage when they weren’t busy–great move. I know my boy would have found some way to entertain himself and the rest of us if he had had a free moment! But all went very smoothly. Whew. It was a great program focusing on the REAL meaning of Christmas, and a fun evening of visiting with other moms and dads.
I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season. We have been so busy! We are looking forward of leaving our work behind and spending a few days with extended family over Christmas–can’t wait!
