I have never been more excited for the holidays than I am this year! For years we have traveled for both Thanksgiving and Christmas to one side of the family and then the next. This year we get to stay put and have gatherings at our home! Yea! I love to spend the holidays with the people I love most. It’s not just the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners that are special. It’s the time off to spend time together all in between too.

We have so many fun traditions through the holidays but my top three are:

Games!

Games, games, games! For as long as I can remember I have loved getting together over the holidays to play endless games. We love board games, card games, and dominoes. There’s just nothing like some friendly family competition.

Food!

You can’t play too many games without being fed right? It’s like a cycle. Games, food, games, good, games, food. I can’t tell  you how much I enjoy cooking and having everyone over to enjoy it. Every fun family gathering starts with a shopping trip! Stocking up on all of our holiday favorites at Sam’s Club is a must. Just being together!

How I love my mom’s hands! Mom helped me serve the drinks at our most recent family gathering. As I snapped a photo, she commented that her hands are ugly. What? I love my mom’s hands.
