Hoffbrau Steaks Review

Hoffbrau Steakhouse is a little bit of Texas.  It is family owned and operated since 1978.  We visited the Haltom City location.   I loved the atmosphere from the time I walked in.  It is Texas rustic and features a big fireplace. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

I began my meal with the house salad.  The house dressing was delicious!

We all loved the warm, fresh rolls served with a honey cinnamon butter.   My husband said they were like eating cinnamon rolls–yum!

I was a little worried that the kids would be so full of bread that they wouldn’t eat their food, but they ate the chicken strips and fries with gusto!

I ordered the Hoffbrau bacon wrapped filet and loaded baked potato.  The meal was perfect!  I am some what of a steak snob.  My dad grew up on a ranch, and he knew a good steak.  We were a missionary family, but steak is the one thing we would have for special meals.  My dad would either raise a calf himself to eat or purchase one so we usually had great beef at economical prices.  When it comes to steaks, I have been spoiled.  I love a great steak, but if it’s not perfectly tender then I’m not interested at all.  The fillet at Hoffbrau was perfect.  My husband ordered the sirloin and enjoyed his meal as well.

For dessert I had the Texas Pecan and Chocolate Chip Cobbler.  I had never had a cobbler that wasn’t fruit.  It looked so good I dug right in before getting a photo!  The kids’ meals come with Blue Bell push-up pops!  My kids gave this restaurant two thumbs up!

Visit Hoffbrau Steaks at one of six locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area!

Disclosure:  Hoffbrau Steaks provided my family with a complimentary meal for two in exchange for my honest review.

That food looks soooo delicious that I am drooling = )
How did you eat that huge potato?

I didn’t know that you could make a cobbler out of chocolate!

The chocoholic in me is going to have to search for that recipe as we don’t have any Hoffbrau Steakhouses up here. If we did, I would definitely go ; )
