It’s time!!! Tomorrow, Monday morning, February 18 (in case it was unclear :)) I will be headed to the airport. I will spend the day traveling, but Lord willing will be in Peru sometime in the evening. I have been blessed to be able to be a part of several Operation Christmas Child distributions while in Lima and surrounding areas.
Thank you all who have been praying for the details of the trip up until this point. Please continue to pray! Especially pray for those taking care of my family–they’re going to need it!
Funny thing is that I have been quite anxious, but not about things like going to a third would country oh no. I’ve been worried about getting the house clean, getting all the laundry done. You know, the important things. Ha ha! Today I just have to pack my suit case, but after packing for seven just packing for one should be a breeze right?
My family, bless them, I’m sure I’ll miss them, but I am actually very much looking forward to leaving them for a few days. There. I said it! Wow in the airport I’ll be able to go and choose from all the food available and only have to think about what sounds good to me! I don’t know. It sounds fun, but will I be able to do it?
In all seriousness though, I’d appreciate your prayer for the children we will be meeting, our team, the church contacts that we will be working with, my family, and my safety. I pray that we might touch the lives of these people even if in some small way and that the Lord would be glorified.

So excited for you! I’ll be praying…
Praying that everything goes smoothly for you, your team, AND for your family while you’re in Peru, Esther!
Can’t wait to hear all about your trip = )
We are certainly praying. Will ask the women in my class this afternoon to pray for you and also the rest of the congregation in the evening service. Some read your blog so they will already know.
I’m pleased the time has finally arrived. Will be looking forward to updates. And here’s one of the things I have learnt through my many years of traveling to other countries – not only will the Lord bless those you are going to serve, but He will also do a mighty work in you! Have fun…
