My youngest girlie, Grace turned 12 this summer! Around her birthday I can’t help but remember all of the trauma that went on around her birth. I’m so happy we both lived through it! How thankful I am for my girl. This year the only thing she wanted was to have her friend over for a pool party. I’m so glad I was able to make that happen a couple days before her birthday.
We swam all day and then had a picnic on the porch. Great times!
When the day finally came she got her first flowers from Daddy, a tradition! Jason always brings the birthday child a balloon until the girls turn 12 and then he brings them flowers.
I have to brag on my sister Sara and niece. They went to every McDonalds and purchased enough happy meals to complete the entire Hello Kitty tea and gave it my Hello Kitty loving daughter for Christmas. They hand painted Hello Kitty on a picnic basket and presented her with the whole set and a box of Hello Kitty cookies.
Grace saved the cookie mix and made it on her birthday .
For her meal she asked for cucumber sandwiches, peanut butter and banana sandwiches, Jalapeno Cheese ball, and a fresh berry mix. To drink the kids made Vanilla milk and used the Hello Kitty tea cups.
And there they are Grace’s family at age 12. Yes, I’m there. Don’t you see me holding the camera? 😉
Grace is my most tenderhearted child. She feels for the ants if we squish them. Hope is a loyal friend. I love to find her reading books to her brothers. She has grown up so much in the last year. By next year I’m sure I won’t recognize her. I’m going to hang on the the last bit of little girl left. Dolls any one? It’s actually so nice to see my kids growing up it just seems to have happened so fast.
Happy 12th Birthday, Grace!
