Grace was ever so excited to turn 11 in our new house! She had big plans. She would have our extended family over and we would all go swimming. It was such a big deal for all of us! Looking back I’m now sure how I managed it, but I didn’t get any photos of any family celebrating with us. Figures! Ha ha!
Look at here beautiful cake! It’s all her Aunt Sara’s doing. My sister Sara used to make me shaped cakes when I was little. When my girls saw the cake Sara made for her daughter they had to have one of their own. Sara was so sweet to go to all that work. She took Grace shopping and let her pick out her doll for her gift. Her Barbie cakes are gorgeous! Grace treasures the memories and the doll!
At our house the birthday menu is always a big deal. Our kids choose their favorite foods.
Birthday Menu
Tyson Chicken Fry Tacos with Black Bean Mango Salsa
Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos
Sometimes the foods don’t really go together like I think they should for a birthday, but no one seems to care!
And our birthday tradition balloons from Daddy! It was a great day!
Grace is eleven. I keep saying it to myself. She is such a sweet, tenderhearted girl. I would say our move has been the hardest on Grace. She left behind her best friend and since she is quite shy, making new friends is not the easiest for her. BUT she is such a trooper. She is excited for every time we get together with friends and is always hopeful that she will connect with someone new. She loves her Sunday School class and works diligently to teach the homework to her brothers so they too will win the prizes. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for Grace!
