You know how things people say crack me up? My mom is right up there at the top of my list for saying things to me that make me laugh. This happened while my parents were here a couple of weeks ago. Jason got home from work and when he walked in the door he looked at me in surprise and said, “Wow you look nice. I like your clothes.”
I looked down at what I was wearing, a very plain pink T-Shirt and jeans, “You must like this color pink because there is nothing great about this!” Why can’t I just take a compliment?
My mom agreed with me, “Well, yes, but it’s much better than BROWN!” Ha ha! I had just worn a brown T-shirt the day before. Here all these years I thought brown was a good color on me. I suppose I should retire my brown T-shirt being that it is a maternity shirt and all. Shh! But it’s so comfortable!

Well, I don’t guess I’ll comment.
I know how you feel, Esther. I have a Greenbay Packers t-shirt that is my absolute favorite t-shirt ever. And they are just about my least favorite team.
Parents say the funniest things well meaningly! My dad once accidentally told me how me really loves me, but he loves my daughter more. LOL. I had to appreciate his deep love for her- but I was thinking “maybe that is something you could have just kept to yourself dad…” ๐
That’s cute. ๐ I think guys just like color. My husband does – for one full year he asked me not to buy a single black item of clothing unless my black work pants needed to be replaced because I had SO MUCH black clothing! LOL
Sometimes it’s hard to take a compliment and truly believe it. We need to remember to see ourselves the way God does. And yes, sometimes people do say the funniest things! ๐
Blessings~

Sounds like pink is a much better color on you. Doesn’t mean that the brown one doesn’t look bad though.
