Funny Kids Quotes #12

Grace’s comments usually come from out of nowhere, or at least that is the way it seems to us. So when she came out with, “Were you in World War II or was Daddy?” it really cracked us up.  So much for not feeling old!

I was looking at a flier advertising swimming lessons.   Joy was climbing on me trying to see.   “Oh I want to take swimming lessons.  Will it be in real water?”  Real water?  As opposed to what…jello?  Maybe she’s been spending too much time on the Wii?

Ha that is funny! When I was young we were driving by a pasture of cows and I saw a mostly black cow with white spots. I proclaimed look Mom a black and white cow!! Everyone made fun of me like I had never seen a black and white cow before! I had not ever seen a mostly black cow!! It just came out wrong!

Maybe Joy has heard something I remember my mom quoting:

    “Mother, may I go swimming?”
    “Yes, my darling daughter.
Hang your clothes on a hickory limb,
But don’t go near the water.”

Jello could be fun to swim around in!!! She could pretend to be a marshmallow or piece of fruit…..
