We had such a long, cold winter that the heat has taken my a bit by surprise. I was getting used to that chilly sweatshirt weather. But alas it IS Texas after all. When the kids asked to play in the sprinkler I couldn’t believe it would be hot enough, but it sure was.
Bobby was a bit leery to get in on the action. He kept his distance for quite a while, but he laughed and screamed anyway.
Jumping, running, and races through the water. Do you get too old for that? My only mom request is that they do this just before getting ready for bed so I don’t have an extra load of laundry. The loads of clothes are killing me as it is. I thank the Lord often for washers and driers!
I can’t think of a better way for the kids to get cooled off and exert some of that pent up energy! Whew. Pretty soon it will be so hot around here that I won’t be able to lure some of my kiddos out even with a sprinkler, but we sure are enjoying our spring weather!

I’m sad that we won’t be moving to TX after all, but when I’m reminded of the summers…I’m not so sad. However, hot is hot and it frequently gets into the triple digits here, too.
But then we have snow to look forward to. LOTS of it 🙂
