We have spent the last couple of days enjoying the beautiful weather and visiting with family. It was fun to meet and hold my newest niece and nephew as two of my sisters in law had babies only days apart.
My sister in law Johanna brought the kids hula hoops and bubbles and boy have they had a blast with them!
I hadn’t hula hooped in years, but I guess it’s a little like riding a bike because after a few tries I could hula with the best of them. Mark that one more point for me for something I could beat my husband at. Woo hoo! And yes he did think he could beat me and tried several times mind you! No, thankfully there is no video! 🙂
Today Jason’s two brothers and their families went home. The kids continued to spend hours outside, making up games and playing in a huge box their grandpa saved for them to play in.
Jason’s parents offered to keep the kids and let us go out on a date! We went to…Epic! Ha even without the kids we end up at the kid’s movie. Oh well! Then we went to a small Mexican restaurant downtown. I laughed that we came all the way to Nebraska from Texas and eat Mexican food, but hey I know where to go! The kids got to go bowling with Grandpa and Grandma while we went out. Another fun couple of days!

What a fun time ~ wonderful memories that your family will cherish for a life time!
The only type of hoola hoop I’ve ever been able to conquer is the on the Wii Fit games. 🙂 It’s nice to see your kids actually playing with them in real life.
Well, I would not think you would forget how to hula hoop! You were the hula hoop champion when you were in kindergarten. I remember that you could go on until you got tired and finally stopped, never once dropping the hoop.
