This package of three games that we won came right when I had decided we needed to be playing more board games with the kids. I have made a point to sit down with them at least once a week for a game. What I love about these Simply Fun games is that the kids are learning as they play. What a fun way to reinforce the concepts I’m trying to teach them!
Bank It was the girls’ favorite and one they ask to play almost daily! This game reinforces money concepts as they earn, save, earn interest, and pay expenses while trying to buy a bicycle. This was fun for everyone!
Sumology–the game of equations. Why not take a break from the math worksheets and play math! We did! This one is challenging!
Linkity is a word association game. It’s fun, loud, and fast moving. We laughed and laughed while we played. My husband and I agreed that challenging each other’s answers was the best part. The girls? They felt sorry for the person challenged every time. We just laughed. They’ll have to get used to it, because it’s SO fun!
You can find these games at SimplyFun! They don’t just sell games; they offer the opportunity for families to host parties to earn free and discounted products or to join their team by becoming consultants. I had fun looking through their website and drooling over the rest of their game inventory!
I’ve been slow to tell you and thank you for all the prizes that you gifted us when you voted us Funniest Homeschool Blog of 2011. They all arrived a couple weeks after Christmas and right when life with a new baby was really hard! I will (hopefully) share the rest with you soon!
In case you missed them, here are the prizes we received that I’ve already posted:
Speekee TV–Easy Spanish for Young Children
Fine Motor Skill Activity Kits from Fundanoodle
We are linked with Hip Homeschool Moms.

I should play more games with my kids, too.
Guilty as charged.
Though part of the reason is that we’re down to snakes and ladders, since over the years various smaller members of our family keep getting hold of the game pieces.
I really like the sumology game, my oldest will be six this month and we are pushing reading and writing, what he needs practice in. He loves Math and is good at it… I an inspired to find him a fun math game now!
These look like games my kids would love. I have been horrible at making time to sit down with them to play games, but I’m definitely going to have to put it at the top of my “to do” list.
We are so glad that you enjoyed the SimplyFun games! Congratulations on your blog win and sweet new addition to your family! 🙂
Oooo- Sumology sounds like an EXCELLENT way to practice those Math facts in a fun way! Thanks for the info…
