My love of cruising lies heavily on the amazing food. Right? But have you ever tried a specialty restaurant available onboard? The food included is already so delicious why pay extra for a specialty restaurant? And then Carnival invited us to experience Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse on the Carnival Breeze… As always all opinions are my own.
As we boarded the ship on embarkation day, we walked by representatives from each of the specialty restaurants. Since we were on our way to our very first meal aboard the Carnival Breeze, we thought we would come back after we ate to sign up. But I was so shocked that when we went back whole days were already completely full! My husband said that when we walked by the first time he overheard a man reserve The Steakhouse for every evening of the cruise! So if you’re thinking of trying The Steakhouse reserve early!!
Dim lights and beautiful music gently playing add in creating a calm and quiet atmosphere. After a long, wonderful, but tiring day in the sun in Cozumel at Isla Pasion, the kids were a little sunburned and cranky. I wondered how they would fare at an upscale restaurant.
The additional price for adults at The Steakhouse is $35, but for children 11 and under it’s $10. Still our children were the only kids in the restaurant that night. I needn’t have worried! From the time we sat down it was such an incredible experience that every one of us including the kids had a wonderful time. We were treated so special and the food was incredible. By the time the night was over the kids asked when they could eat there again!
They had me at butter. You can tell so much about a restaurant from the butter they serve. The Steakhouse makes their own butter, and it is delicious!
Compliments of the chef we were served a five cheese soup in a tiny potato bowl garnished with a slice of fried cheese. Oh, it was unbelievably tasty!
The Maine Lobster Bisque was served over a pad of lobster butter with caviar!
We also tried the Stuffed Mushroom Caps. I am not a big mushroom lover, but these were delectable!
The children’s Filet Mignon plate is a mini version of the adult plate!
If you love a good steak this is definitely the best we had onboard, perfectly tender and so delicious.
Attention to detail! Even the baked potato I ordered with my steak was extra good!
And if you’re wondering if it was good, it was fantastic and so much fun!
So if your wondering about The Steakhouse for your next Carnival cruise, yes it’s worth it. It’s a gourmet meal that’s not to be compared with any other food onboard. We would do this again! And if we even mention not taking the kids, they cause all kinds of racket, but it’s fun to tease them. 😉
