My father-in-law came for the Easter weekend and it is always a treat to have him here. He and his wife Kathy are so thoughtful of the children always bringing them a treat or two. Every year they send Easter eggs for us to hide for the kids, but this year Grandpa Irish brought them and hid them for the kids himself on Saturday! I love that they color code the eggs so each child just finds their own color egg and they all end up with the same. Isn’t that a great idea?
So fun to watch them open their eggs. Little Bobby loved it too. It’s amazing how fast a little guy like that catches on that there is “Yum, yum,” in those eggs.
It was a great weekend with my father-in-law. We wish we could see him more often! It was especially wonderful to have him here right now as we’re waiting and praying for our next sonogram. Him being here and preparing for Easter really helped take our minds off everything.

Easter blessings to you and yours, Esther!
Still lifting you and your baby up in prayer….
Looks like an awesome time. We spent half the day yesterday with my IL’s, and the second half of the day hubby and I had a date night at the Flyers. Have a blessed week!
Lots of fun. I hid eggs for my niece today… Except, it turns out that this Easter Bunny is taller than most. Not helpful, according to her. “How did the Bunny get up so high this year,” she asked her mother…
I love the color-coded idea! I will have to remember that one for next year. We hid eggs for our 2 and my niece, and my brother’s oldest girl is a PRO at finding eggs!
Looks like you had a great time with your little ones. This was the first year that my grandson knew what an egg hunt actually was. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
