Easy Kids Christmas Craft

Easy kids Christmas Tree Craft #adThe girls have really gotten into the Christmas spirit and are aching to decorate.  Now, I agree it’s high time, but I do have a few excuses.  You see we came home from our Thanksgiving trip with the stomach flu.  We’ve now had three down for the count!  It’s kind of hard to get into full decorating mode in the midst of sickness, but after the kids worked so hard the other night on their own Christmas craft I wanted to encourage them.  I’m a great facilitator!

The kids and I looked together for a craft that they could make on their own with just the stuff in their craft box and they were so excited when they found this Christmas Tree craft idea.

easy Christmas craft #ad Search charmThey got busy first drawing their tree and then cutting it out.

hole punch Christmas Tree #adOnce the tree was cut out it was easy to punch holes through both sides with the tree still folded.

cut tissue paper squares #ad Christmas craftOne of the kids cut up little squares of tissue paper for the lights.

Christmas Tree craft in window #adI love the way it looks in my window!

This was such a fun easy craft and the kids and hey, you don’t even have to be a crafty mom! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I hated the new windows at first, but it’s growing on me. I wanted to tell you – you should make melting snowman cookies with your kiddos! My husband didn’t grow up celebrating Christmas so last year we finally started some traditions and making those cookies is one of them. They’re adorable and fun to make and each person/child can make their snowman look however they want! My husband was thirty the first time he made one and thought it was super fun! LOL Search it! ๐Ÿ™‚

What a great idea! I love that it’s something easy for anyone to do. I am not crafty at all, and I know I could still do this with my little cousins. The tree craft looks great in the window or as an ornament! ๐Ÿ™‚

How gorgeous! I am going to steal this idea and use it to do with the kiddo ๐Ÿ™‚ I had this on my mind some days back when I did see something similar with foam sheets on Pinterest; but I can’t find it now ๐Ÿ™‚

I love that this is a easier version ๐Ÿ™‚
