Oh my goodness. I can not tell you how many times I’ve shown up to church an hour late or an hour early because I didn’t realize it was day light savings time. When we showed up late we would end up missing Sunday school. When we got there an hour early we went out for breakfast. That was always kind of a perk for waking up an hour earlier than we would have had to.
This year a friend reminded us, but we also received an email from our pastor! So now we know, but everyone except me is asleep and I don’t think any clocks got changed. Hmm. I suppose something could still go wrong.
So…did you forget day light savings time? Or are you one of the lucky ones that doesn’t have to endure it? 🙂

So glad I’m not the only one! I remember showing up to church an hour early a few times… Today my husband forgot the time change. Ooops!
Do you guys not go to the home church any longer–the one you had talked about being family worship?
I don’t think I’ve ever forgotten to the point of being late to church. I always eventually remember sometime before my head hits the pillow even if only minutes before hitting the pillow.
We didn’t forget today, but it was tough getting everyone up and out an hour earlier. 🙂 @Jeni Yes, we still go to a family integrated church. We’ve been going there since this last summer. @Mari Never ever forgotten? That’s impressive!
I think Arizona is the only “lucky” state! :0)
No we didn’t forget thankfully. With all the sickness that has passed through our house the last few weeks, I’m surprised we didn’t. However, because my husband and I are children’s pastors and we have conferences at our church this week starting today, I’m very thankful our pastor sends out reminder e-mails, or we very well may have forgotten!
I think this was the first time we have ever gotten the email reminder from our pastor (at least that I remember). I was very thankful for it!
We set our clocks one hour ahead just before turning in for the night….completely forgetting that our new alarm clock is the type that “automatically” sets the time ahead (spring) and back (fall) on its own.
So we had an extra short night because our clock got set ahead twice : /
At least we weren’t late for church!!!
Oh Deb that’s horrible! Ha ha. Yes. At least you weren’t late! 🙂
We set changed our clocks around noon on Saturday. That way we used the new time for meals and bedtime, hoping to get on the new schedule sooner. I think it helped.
