After a short time enjoying St. Pete Beach in Tampa we made the drive to Orlando. We were excited to have more space at the condo we rented!
Years ago we were talked into going through a time share facility with the promise of some grand things for free. You know the drill. Neither my husband nor I make spur of the moment decisions of this nature so the pressure works the opposite of it’s intention on us, but I do remember going through the vacation accommodations dreaming of the grandeur and knowing we would never be able to afford it. I was wrong!
Thanks to the website Trading Places and their “Hot deals” this is the second time we have stayed at fabulous accommodations for a very reasonable price. Last year we stayed at Stormy Point Village in Branson, MO. It was perfect. In anticipation of our Florida vacation we tried to prepare ourselves that it probably wouldn’t be as nice. We were wrong. Cypress Pointe Resort in Orlando, Florida was amazing and we couldn’t be happier. It is perfectly located near Disney, Universal, and Sea World.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom condo for $349 including tax for a full week! There were two master suites. This is the first one that is called a lock off because it can be rented independently of the rest of the condo. There was a door to the outside and to the rest of the condo that could be…well…locked off! 😉 Jason and I took this room as there lacked privacy for the kids to share this one.
The 2nd master bedroom was just as beautiful. Two of the girls shared this room and all the girls used this master bathroom.
The bath was equipped with jacuzzi tub, double sinks, and shower.
We loved the patio. It was also accessible from the living room. We were super excited to find that it was completely screened in. So when we ordered pizza and sat outside to eat there were absolutely no bugs flying around–loved that!
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could have needed.
Dining–I really hated to mess that up. Isn’t it pretty?
We also made great use of the living room with hide-a-bed.
The boys shared this smaller bedroom. It was perfect for them and closer to our bedroom.
The boys bathroom. Oh…I’ll never forget this room and how through the nights I was so grateful we had the extra bathroom and weren’t all sharing one…
Laundry is not something I plan to do on vacation. However if one encounters the tummy flu while on vacation this little closet and it’s contents are invaluable. Ahem!
All of this too good to be true for $349? It’s not! The catch? These great deals are only available in the off seasons. You have to be willing to wait until about two weeks before you plan to travel to book your stay because rates don’t go down this low until about the last two weeks. That’s it! Although they will ask you to go through a time share type meeting there is absolutely no obligation. We just said, “No thank you.” This is the best way for large families to travel. I’m so thankful for my friend Katie who first told me about Trading Places.

Magnificent travel deal. I will look them up for future trips. I would even do this for travel by myself or with my wife.
You should! We have saved so much money this way and have been extremely happy with every stay!
