We’re talking school lunches today! Wow I see so many awesome and creative idea out there for kids lunches. Guess what? I am not that mom! We really love playing with food around here, but when it comes to what we send with the kids to school, I’m all about quick, simple, and delicious!
We homeschool but attend communities two days each week. Getting five kids out the door is…crazy! No matter what time I get everyone up, there always seems to be some huge catastrophe right when it’s time to get out the door. When it comes to sending lunches, well from experience I’ve gone completely disposable. They have either lost or thrown away silverware, dishes, and lunch boxes! So whatever I send, I expect never to see again. I also hate wasted food so I only send food that I know they love and that I’m confident will get eaten. Some of our favorite choices are sandwiches, cheese sandwich crackers, peanut butter crackers, string cheese, fruit, Greek Yogurt, hummus and crackers, cookies for a treat. Most of these items are reserved especially for their lunches so it’s always a treat!
Besides the yummy food they look forward to at school, their drink is always a treat too! This week they are so excited to try Fruit Shoot! Fruit Shoot features an innovative no-spill cap making it easy for kids to be independent and on the go. These vibrant fun colored bottles come in tasty flavors of Orange, Apple, Berry Burst, and Strawberry/Raspberry.
Little Jason’s first choice was Apple! Fruit Shoot is perfect for children of all ages, and contains real fruit juice, no fructose corn syrup, making it a great option.
While I go for quick and easy for my lunches, you may love to create fun themed school lunches. I’ve seen so many great ideas out there. I loved this cinco de mayo lunch. It looks so cute and easy that I might try that at home soon! And what boy wouldn’t love a dinosaur lunch. That was just too cute. I also loved these make ahead and freeze lunch box ideas! So many possibilities!
Right now when you like Fruit Shoot’s Facebook page, you can enter to win a Florida Escape Trip to The Kennedy Space Center! I entered. Crossing my fingers. 🙂

Benjamin loves those Fruit Shoot drinks!
You are right school lunch does not have to be complicated. It seems everyone needs to pack a lunch every now and then. These are some pretty simple ideas. I love that Fruit Shoot is a larger size than a juice box. I don’t think my kids are ever hydrated enough.
