After all the fun we had shopping at Walmart and planning a meal for Joy to make for the family, it was time to get cooking and saving money for our school!
Joy began by making the cookies first. TIP: We cut the Box Tops off the package right away so that we don’t forget and throw the packages away before saving the Box Tops!
The toughest thing about baking the cookies first is resisting eating them. Yum!
Even with some short cuts, Joy found out how tough it can be to prepare several things at once. At one point the timer for the pasta was going off, the timer for the rolls was going off, and it was time to remove the Beef Pasta from the stove. And wouldn’t you know that was the exact moment our two little boys ran into the kitchen asking a zillion questions. I love that Joy got a little understanding as to why I’m a little frazzled sometimes when I’m cooking!
And then all of a sudden everything was ready! “Wow,” she said! Great job Joy!
The kids were all excited to taste a meal that Joy made. We gave this two thumbs up! Everyone cleaned their plates!
Tip: Remember to look for two Box Tops to cut when there are Bonus Box Tops! We cut all the Box Tops from the packages and placed them in our little collection bag. It’s so fun to watch the stash grow, and then present it at our school. It’s such an easy way to give back!
Make sure to go to Walmart to find Bonus Box Tops offers on select General Mills® products and lets help save money for our schools!
