“Mom! I had an accident!” how common those words were and not just at bed time. Poor kid! You don’t expect your fully potty trained child to have so many accidents though it is more common than you think!
With a family history of enuresis, it was something I was prepared for. Having heard some of the horror stories that relatives went through, I was determined to help my children through this. I discussed our issues with our pediatrician who gave us exercises the children can do to help strengthen muscles. These reminded me of the pelvic floor strengthening exercises given to me in pregnancy. My child was a bit skeptical at first, but the exercises really helped!
Bedwetting can still be an issue as they grow, but what potty trained child wants to wear a diaper? Not mine! I am so glad there are options like Pampers UnderJams! Pampers UnderJams are made from cloth-like materials for privacy and comfort. I love that they are low waist so only the child knows they are wearing them! Pampers UnderJams features night wear leakage protection with NightLock ultra-absorbent core. No more waking up to wash sheets every morning!
As if right on cue I just ran to my child’s school with a change of clothes. My little boy had an accident! Never short on real life examples around here. Ha ha. While at this point in his life he doesn’t seem to be the least bit phased by accidents, that will change as he grows older if he continues to struggle. I’m so glad that Pampers helps educate and gives us great products to help us through this stage of life!
Have a child that is dealing with bedwetting? Here is a fun book provided by Pampers UnderJams: Children’s book featuring “Sal the Sasquatch”
After reading the book with your child, make sure to print off one of the below coloring pages to enjoy and discuss with your child. What a great way to bond!
