Frieda my mom is sharing today about her welcome back to the online world. Ha!
Last week I was cheerfully typing on my computer on a bright sunny day in South Texas. I had just gotten internet again after several months without it. Suddenly a loud almost hysterical sounding voice came out of nowhere. “This is unbelievable! It sounds like someone with a jackhammer on the roof! Stay away from the windows! They are getting bigger and bigger and coming faster and faster!”
THEY? Extraterrestrials or what? I turned everything else off, and there was a newscaster from Tennessee excitedly holding forth on my screen. I don’t understand all about computers and the internet or how that guy got on my computer, but I was glad it was just what it was.

As a Tennessean, I can tell you that there hasn’t been any E.T. sighting lately. Unless you count the exceptionally weird things one can see when shopping at Wal-mart! Welcome back online, Frieda!
I recently had someone from overseas stay at my home and my little dog Poppy became quite attached to him, after he left I would imitate his very distinct accent, calling her and she would come running to me tail wagging. The other week we skyped to catch up and he started talking to Poppy. She was mesmerised, she kept going up to the laptop screen and then would run behind it to see if he was there, it was hilarious. She is a really smart dog and this utterly confused her.
Glad your mum got back on line, no idea what I would do without internet!

You must not have gotten the correction I wrote later. I meant to say the Tennessee news guy was in a bad hail storm. I guess everyone figured it out.
Hi Frieda!
I just had to see who the wonderful Mom is behind my wonderful online friend Esther! And of course your as funny as she is…or is it the other way around 😉
Blessings and nice to meet you!
Thank you Shari Lynne. It is wonderful to be Esther’s mother. I am so blessed. My best friends in the world are my three daughters and my daughter-in-law!
lol, you must have hovered for a moment on a picture video. I’ve done that before.
Welcome back to the internet, Frieda! We’ve missed you! 😀
Sometimes I leave the radio on when I go pick up my daughter from school, and when we walk in the door and I hear a man’s voice, I freak out until I remember that it’s just the radio!
