I still haven’t made it over to visit Jason’s office in Fort Worth! I could give you my list of excuses, but they would just be excuses right? One of these days when he’s not too busy, I’m not too busy, and the kids aren’t too busy I’ll have to make it out there!
So it was fun to be able to go to Jason’s job’s company picnic and meet a few of the people he works with. It’s so good to finally put a name to a face. I thought the management did a great job putting together the picnic. In fact I was surprised more people from the company didn’t go.
They had various toys for the kids to play with at the beginning of the picnic along with a caricature artist, balloon artist and face painter available at no cost. You know our kids took full advantage!
The meal was catered from a local bbq joint. Then came the organized games that came with prizes! There was a limbo game that none of my kids succeeded very well in but had fun trying.
Then came the hoola hoop competition. My kids are practiced up with hoola hoops since their Aunt Johanna and Uncle Jared gave them hoola hoops. Joy started the competition. It was timed since there weren’t enough hoola hoops to go around. They actually had to tell her to quit at two minutes. She just kept going. It was so fun to watch the kids and even more fun to watch the adults try to beat her time. Joy begged me not to enter. There is a thing or two that I’m a bit good at and hoola hoops is one of them. You just never know about people do ya?
So Joy won the $25 gift card and she was so proud of it!
The last competition was a water balloon toss.
We had so much fun and everyone was so nice. I am looking forward to meeting the rest of the people my husband works with!

I LOVE going to Dave’s company picnics. The first one we went to was a Christmas dinner (ok – not really a picnic) two years ago, and I loved meeting all the people I’d heard him mention time and again. The people he spends most of his days with.
Your picnic sounds like so much fun!!!!
