The Children’s Museum of Houston is our favorite of all the children’s museums we have ever visited. There is just so much to do and explore. When we went to Houston to see my sister Sara, we spent the morning at the Museum until Sara was through at the hospital. We spent about two and a half hours here and didn’t even begin to do everything there is to do, but we had a blast.
The Kidtropolis area is always so exciting for the kids. In Kidtropolis children get hands on exploration in places and jobs they are all interested in. At Niko’s the kids take your order, make your meal, clear your dishes, and get paid!
I mean really, what kid doesn’t want to be a cashier for a day? It was tough getting these kids to try other “work.”
Learn how to be a vet and care for animals.
Check out the police station and actually sit in a cruiser and push buttons! Wow. Every kid’s dream.
They take their pay checks and deposit the money or get cash at the ATM. It also really helps to take some older kids to help watch the younger ones. It gets really crowded in there!
Ok, ok I have to admit this was too much fun not to join in. I also beat all my kids at the jump rope machine. Ha ha. My wins with them are coming fewer and fewer, gotta keep them alive so they’ll remember. 🙂
The kids climbed around a bit on the indoor playscape and checked out Flow Works.
They became little scientists having so much fun doing the experiments…and then it was time to go. There were groans all around. They could have spent an entire day here. I suppose we’ll just have to make it back…
