This last week we celebrated 16 years of marriage! Forgetting that it was our anniversary Jason had threatened to spend the day cleaning out the garage! Ha ha!
We spent the day together…and with the fruit of our marriage–our five kids of course! Jason came home early from work with roses for me, and then took us to a quick lunch. Then we all went to see Despicable Me 2 together. We timed it perfectly so that Bobby slept through most of it, and we enjoyed the show!
For supper we went to the Olive Garden. We beat the crowd and were seated right away, but we must not have ordered in time, because we waited a very long time for our food. But we waited so long they gave us one of our meals free. I suppose if we must wait, you can’t beat free!
We came home, put the kids to bed, and watched a movie and ate dessert just the two of us. It was a really fun day! Jason has been so stressed out lately. I didn’t know what the day was going to look like, but it was so sweet of him to make the effort to make the day special, and it was!
I love waking up next to him every morning! These sixteen years have been full of ups and downs, and God has grown us through them. I’m so glad for the laughter through it all. What a gift! Here’s to sixteen more years and beyond!

God’s blessings on you anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are both an inspiration to love one another and laugh together!
“your” 😉
Happy 16th Anniversary!!
May you continue to grow deeper in love and in God’s grace!
Wow! Congratulations.
I love how your eyes are closed and Jason’s wide open in this picture. Reminds me of another couple… 😉
Your family is precious! You remind me of my sister. She and her husband have been married 12 years, but they have been together forever. They were childhood sweethearts. They also have five kids. Your kids are so cute! I don’t know how you both do it!
I wondered if anyone else noticed that you closed your eyes and Jason had his open. Still likes to look at you!
Congratulations. I wish you many more anniversaries. In a month we will celebrate our 43rd, and they just keep getting better!!
Happy Anniversary 🙂 Sounds like a very fun day!
How sweet, Esther! I love the pic. I love the flowers! 🙂 And I love getting a peek inside your celebration. Congratulations, my friend!
