Build Letter Skills with LeapFrog Word Whammer

As a LeapFrog mom Ambassador, I receive products, promotional items and educational material to use and share as I see fit.  However, any opinions expressed by me are honest and reflect my actual experience.

LeapFrog Word Whammer learning #LeapFrogMomSquadA question I am often asked is how I keep my toddlers busy while I homeschool the other children.  This is not an easy answer because in fact I do and try many, many things.  I always say what works this week probably won’t work next week.  But I do love to take advantage of the learning resources I have that are fun.  They might as well be learning along with us even if they think they are just playing.

Leap Frog Word Whammer #LeapFrogMomSquadMy three year old loves learning letters and numbers.  It’s not something I have to try to make him do.  So he took to the Word Whammer right away.

LeapFrog Word Whammer Fun #LeapFrogMomSquadWith three action-packed games and 5 learning levels that adapt as children play, the Word Whammer gets kids excited about letters and words as children spin, push and twist the handles to find the correct letters and build words.

Game play with Leapfrog Word Whammer #LeapFrogMomSquadKids love to twist the handle to blast a rocket into letters to spell over 100 words.  They learn to match upper and lower case letters by spinning the handle to bump a car into the right answer.  Children listen for a certain letter sound, then twist the handle to spin the teacup into the letter than makes that sound.  What I love about this is that it adapts automatically as kids play to keep them challenged, motivated and enjoying the process as they progress through five levels.

The Word Whammer is geared for ages 4+ and retails for $19.99.

Kids are so mesmerized by electronics. It’s nice when the games actually teach them something.
