After a day of exploring Branson at our leisure we arrived at Silver Dollar City’s Branson Bell landing about an hour early for our 4:00 show. Boarding began at 3:30 I believe, and they start serving food at 3:45.
We didn’t wait long at all to board, but this little guy was very tired.
Here we are in thhe entry way of the Showboat. I love that Silver Dollar City allows photos to be taken without a charge! 😉
Fun, fun! After taking a Carnival cruise last year, I wondered if maybe a dinner cruise wouldn’t be as big of a deal to our kids. Well, let me just say we all LOVED the Showboat Branson Belle cruise!
My girls get a little giddy over a fancy dinner!
You see those big pitchers of tea? There isn’t much room between the tables, and it was challenging to squeeze through with our big group with Jason and I both carrying a child. As we were walking by, there was a loud crash as the tea at the table behind us toppled over. I didn’t want the lady to feel bad for spilling the tea so I said, “Oh that happens to us all the time.” She gave me a dirty took. Jason elbowed me and said that Bobby’s foot had knocked it over when I walked by. Oops! Leave it to me! I apologized profusely. “Here I was trying to help you not feel bad, and it was me all along!” I said.
The mess was cleaned up, and the lady warmed up to us as we sat down. The couple sitting there in the photo beside Little Jason, however, did not. They got up and left and never came back! I don’t blame them. I don’t like sitting next to a bunch of unruly children either. We do try to keep our clan in line and keep them from being distracting. Usually they do a pretty good job, but sometimes…they don’t! That is the way of things. On this occasion I think the couple wouldn’t have had anything to complain about had they stayed. Little Jason ate quietly the first half of the show and was so tired he fell asleep during the second half. Still, I don’t blame them for moving.
Then it was time for the show…

We have had mothers at the playground, grab their children, and leave as they see us spilling out of the van. And, we only have 5 children!!! But, I love it when people come up at a restaurant or in a store and thank us for having well behaved children (they say it with great surprise on their faces too)…..
