It’s not a party unless there’s lots of food. This year in preparation for Super Bowl fun we’re making several kinds of nachos. That way everyone can choose their favorite. Buffalo Chicken Nugget Nachos were a huge hit with my family. My husband claimed that one as his favorite, but some of the kids preferred the sweet tangy flavor of my BBQ Chicken Nugget Nachos.
This recipe contains several more ingredients than the Buffalo Chicken Nugget Nachos so it takes just a little longer to put together. I suggest chopping your veggies, chopping and marinating the chicken, and assembling the rest of the ingredients so you can just layer the nachos and put them in the oven just before party time, super easy!
What you’ll need from Walmart:
- Tyson® Chicken Nuggets (about 13)
- Tortilla chips (about 5 cups)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 1/2 cups Great Value Fiesta Blend Shredded Cheese
- 1/2 cup black beans, drained
- 1/2 cup corn, drained
- cilantro, onions, tomatoes, chilies, & avocado as desired
Chop the Tyson® Chicken Nuggets into small chunks at about 9 per chicken nugget and place the chopped Tyson® Chicken Nuggets in a bowl containing the BBQ Sauce. Let the chicken soak in the sauce for about 15 minutes.
Layer the nachos. Place the tortilla chips in a deep dish pie plate. Chips should fill 3/4 of the pie plate. Then add the marinated and chopped Tyson® Chicken Nuggets and drizzle any remaining BBQ sauce over the chips.
Next layer the black beans, corn, and desired fresh ingredients. Top with the shredded cheese. Bake in a 350 degree F. preheated oven for 20 minutes.
I prefer my avocado not cooked so I added it on top afterward, but if you don’t mind it hot you can just throw it in with the rest of the ingredients.
Serve immediately! I absolutely loved the tangy, sweet BBQ flavors mixed with the fresh ingredients. The flavors are shockingly delicious. The entire family loved these nachos!
