One of the things I have been most excited about in my blogging venture is being a SeaWorld Wildside blogger! As part of the team I got invited to the AdventureCon conference June 26-28 in San Antonio. From the time I heard about the conference a goal of mine was to get my family there. I love SeaWorld!
Look who met us at registration? My little Bobby was THRILLED to see Shamu and took more than his share of hugs!
We were greeted with horderves and drinks,
but even more than the food my kids wanted to know what was in our goodie bag! As a part of the conference each blogger and family member received passes to SeaWorld, refillable drink cups, meal vouchers, parking passes, quick que passes and more!
Very, very, very excited for the next day to come we all headed up to our room at the Courtyard Marriott Westover Hills SeaWorld San Antonio, where…no one could sleep because we were so excited.
In the morning Jason took our five children to (sniff) SeaWorld. I have to say that I was quite jealous. If there were ever a time I wished I could have been two places at once it would have been this day. While I was glad they were having fun with VIP treatment at the park…I so wanted to be enjoying it with them. Would I be able to concentrate at a blog conference?
As a blogger of five years who has been to many conferences, I really loved AdventureCon! The speakers were great. They gave practical tips while really helping and answering questions. It wasn’t over your head info, but right in the trench nuggets you could take home and apply.
We even heard personally from SeaWorld San Antonio park president Dan Decker. I loved the excitement he has for SeaWorld!
The blog sessions ended with a meet up with the family for the Sea Lion High show and then meet and greet with the trainers afterward then free time with family at the park.
The next day was a full day at SeaWorld with family. If you are a blogger who writes about family travel, mark your calendar for early June next year. You’ll want to be there!!!
More about our fun at SeaWorld….

What an awesome way to learn and bless your family! Looking forward to hearing more about it.
Thank you Betsy! You’ll have to come next year!
Oh, I have many pictures of my kids with theme park characters. You will be glad to look back on them someday. I miss that age when my kids would just beam with delight and awe at the characters. They are too cool for that now, but at least I got the pictures!!
Thank you Rachel for the reminder! I do try to remember to enjoy those times to the fullest with my little ones though sometimes it’s easy to get wrapped up in the nitty gritty.
