Looking for a quick, high protein breakfast? “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” I have heard that for what seems like my entire life, yet I keep finding myself skipping breakfast! For two meals a day we all sit down as a family, but for breakfast everyone is on their own. My husband and the older children grab their own breakfast and I get something for the little ones as they get up. Mornings end up so busy with staggering breakfasts and getting the kids going on their school work that so many times I just forget to eat. It’s not until about 10:30 or 11:00 in the morning that I find myself getting really irritated with the kids that I remember that I didn’t eat breakfast.
Cold cereals and other sweet breakfasts don’t much appeal to me first thing in the morning. I have never been one for getting up to cook hot breakfasts. It takes me a good hour just to make sense in the morning! Eggs, bacon, ham, and fruit with my coffee–that’s what sounds delicious, but again you won’t find me cooking early in the morning.
When I realized that my late morning irritability was directly related to my breakfast omission, I began looking for some quick, high protein, healthy alternatives to spending an hour cooking in the morning, and that’s when I found Tyson Day Starts!
I found Tyson Day Starts at Walmart in the frozen breakfast section of the store. I was excited to find such a variety. It was tough to choose just a few! Oh and I found pull and peel coupons on some packages–score!
During the minute and a half it took me to heat up my breakfast, I cut up some strawberries and poured my coffee. In less that five minutes I was enjoying an easy healthy breakfast!
