In my youth I was often thought to be much younger than I was. I attribute this much to the fact that I was incredibly skinny. At 5’ 5’’ I may have weighed a whole ninety pounds. It didn’t matter what I ate. I couldn’t gain an ounce.
One time I was at a restaurant with my dad. We were travel weary and waited on the bench inside the entrance of the place. When the waitress came out she asked me if I would like the under twelve menu. I was twenty one!
I’m glad people don’t mistake me for twelve anymore, but now it is nice when folks guess me much younger than I am!

From photographs, you still look WAY younger. Lucky woman!
I remember when you carried the little calorie counter book around with you–counting calories to gain weight!
You still look very young maybe not 12!!
And I always look older….lol!!! 🙂
I get excited when they card me at Home Depot for buying spray paint!!!! Makes my day!
I would’ve said “I would LOVE an under 12 menu”. It’s cheaper 🙂
Oh, you are just too funny!
I’ve always had the opposite problem – growing up, people thought I was older than I was. At 13 I apparently passed for a 16 year old! It presented its own unique issues LOL
I am six feet tall and was always thought to be older….liked it when I was pre-21….not so much fun after that!
I always had that ‘problem’ too…growing up I hated it, but now at 38, I LOVE it!
