So you heard that my laptop crashed, but did I happen to mention that I am in the middle of getting ready for a trip? Oh yes! That’s just how things seem to work out huh? Yes we finally settled on a laptop last night. After all the research and reading your comments, I decided I should stick with Windows 7 and just purchase a cheap computer, but guess what? They are not around in the stores anymore at least not at the stores where we shop, and I didn’t have time to order one as I would need my laptop on the trip. So against lots of advice we ended up with Windows 8, but we did get the touch screen AND one with a DVD drive–whew. So hopefully I won’t have any of those problems ya’ll keep talking about, and I’ll just love it right?
Oh, oh, oh we’re headed to Nebraska! We are looking forward to visiting with family. Grace will be celebrating her birthday at Grandpa and Grandma’s. She’s excited about that. And we’re eager to go to the Teach Them Diligently Homeschool Conference in Omaha May 30 – June 1. We are especially excited to hear Voddie Baucham and Ken Hamm, but there are tons of great speakers. If you’re going to the conference I’d love to meet you! I found out a friend from college will be there. What fun!
So we’re excited about the trip, with all the added stress of my husband starting his new job this week and my laptop crashing, I haven’t done much writing ahead for the blog like I normally do when I go on a trip. It is going to be my first experience of writing on the go! That probably doesn’t sound like a huge deal to most of you, but when you’re traveling with seven people it’s difficult to find time to think. We usually go, go, go! My new Galaxy II smartphone works as a hot spot so I’m going to be trying to get online as we drive. I’m excited about the possibility. I’ll let you know how it goes. But if you don’t happen to hear from me for a day or two just know that I’m okay, probably just crazy busy keeping my kiddos occupied on our road trip!
FYI as I read through my post I realized I had used the word “excited” about 30 times! I did just a little editing, but can you tell I love to travel? I’m so…excited! 🙂
I’m linked with Gratituesday.

We are heading to Teach them diligently too! Very excited about all of the workshop offerings! Hopefully it won’t snow while you are here…we have had some whacky weather!
If you have any problems with your new laptop, instead of calling a service that would charge you, shoot me a message and I can pass it on to my hubby. He’ll troubleshoot it for you at no cost and he’s really good at doing that long-distance. 🙂 He has a side business doing computer service/repairs and it’s his heart to provide affordable services to people.
Have a super fun and safe trip, Esther = )
Have fun and be safe!
I’d love to know more about that conference. I hope you plan on posting lots of pictures and details about it. Also tell us tips and things you learned at this conference.
Have FUN!! 🙂
I wish we were going to the conference. One of my good friends and her family will be there. Hopefully, one day soon we can get our families together. Safe travels!
@Michelle, I wish you were coming too! 🙁
