The girls have started basketball practice one night a week. Whereas last year only Joy played basketball, this year all the girls wanted to play. So one night a week is spent at practice. It’s a very long night to have the two boys sitting in bleachers so I’ve kept them home. They have felt somewhat left out of the fun so last time I told my five year old that I was taking him out to dinner, and he could pick the place. He told me he wanted to go to the place that had hot dogs inside it with bread. I really can’t remember the last time we went out for hot dogs. I sat down and tried very hard to think of what he was wanting. Finally he added that they have ice cream. Well there are only a couple of places where the kids get ice cream…because the ice cream comes free.
“Do you want to go to Dickies Barbecue?”
He nodded his head.
The, “hot dogs inside” turned out to be the sausage the kids love there. Me? Just give me the tacos. Oh yum!
This little guy was happy to eat all the ice cream he could hold…and I let him! 🙂
It was so fun to be able to give the two boys my complete attention. They were so cute! Little Jason chatted with me the entire time, and ate his food without complaining. I am amazed at how much he has to say with out the three girls for competition! What a fun time with my boys it was!
