A Backwards Kind of Day

It happened one afternoon before I had children.  I was in a hurry.  I needed to be at a Bible study fellowship with a sack lunch to eat, so I pulled into a Hardee’s drive thru that I had never been to before.  “Wait a minute,” I thought to myself, “Something is definitely not right here.  How am I supposed to order with the window…over there?”  It was about then that I realized that it wasn’t the Hardees that was backwards.  I looked up and sure enough the teenagers behind the window saw the whole thing.  I pulled out, drove around, and ordered.  When I got back to the window the girls were still doubled over they were laughing so hard.  They couldn’t believe I came back!   One of the girls handed me a cookie with my order and thanked me for making her day.

I’ve done something similar a few times when trying to get gas in my husband’s car – the tank is on the other side!

One day my husband and I went thru a Mcdonalds and ordered apple pies. He paid for the pies and then waited for them to hand them out the window. After waiting a few minutes he knocked on the window the lady asked if she could help him and he said “uhhh ya the pies?” and she was like “I already gave them to you” Come to find out I was holding them in my lap the whole time! How embarrassing!

That’s funny! One time when I was engaged my car broke down in a drive thru line. I was with one of my bridesmaids and we got the two guys behind us to push us through the line, they even stopped at the window so that we could get our food!!
