As if life isn’t busy enough these days I came down with a cold this last weekend too. I had been enduring it, because my medicine cabinet was completely depleted of cold medicine. Finally, I decided enough was enough and left the kids with my husband to head to Walgreens to shop for Cold and Flu Season and find something that would help my symptoms.
Walgreens has recently launched a Loyalty Card called Balance Rewards. I wanted to sign up to get the best Walgreens Savings possible. It was so incredibly easy! I just asked the cashier and he directed me to insert my phone number in the credit card machine.
My name and information popped up and he asked me to verify and sign. That was it. It took me MAYBE two minutes. With Rewards card in hand I grabbed the sales flyer and flipped it to the cold and flu section. With my card I can take advantage of the sales!
I saw that if I purchased three items from the top left page I would earn 5000 Reward points. That would equal $5.00 worth of points saved on my card for my next purchase. I also needed items from the sale section on the right hand side and saw that those items were buy one get one 50% off!
The sale items and items with this week’s reward points were clearly marked and easy to find.
I was able to get what I needed saving $6.00 and earning 5000 balance reward points to spend on my next purchase!
I came home, opened a package and took some medicine. My husband knew I had run to the store for some medicine and that I would be blogging about it later. He was waiting for me and called down from upstairs to see what I was doing. “I’m taking some of this medicine.”
“What?” he was incredulous. “You’re taking drugs for the blog?”
“No, no dear, I’m taking drugs for my headache!” We do need to get that straight! Ha ha!
If you aren’t in as much hurry for your items as I was you can sign up online, download the Walgreen’s app and do it all easily from your phone. Check it out:
