We had a lovely conversation over cinnamon rolls! I can’t express enough how fun it is for ME to get out with just one child for some one-on-one time. It is amazing how sweet each one is when not competing with their siblings! It’s also amazing how sweet mama can be when not refereeing! 
I make a mental list to ask questions and talk about things that might be bothering her or that she might be more free to talk about when it’s just the two of us. It is a wonderful time!
Afterward I surprised her with a shopping trip for earrings! She has been very patient since getting her ears pierced, but the six month recommendation for not taking the initial earrings out had passed and she was dying for some variety. I love to see this little girl so excited!
You are an intentional mother, making the most of thier years with you! what a fun memory you made for you both! You are a great mother, Esther! remember these sweet moments on the days when everyone is screaming and fighting… lol.

Wow – 6 months!!! Here in Scotland they only recommend 6 weeks.
